For the 6th year in a row, AACAA participated in D.C.'s Caribbean Carnival. Our largest contingent of volunteers so far this year descended upon the top of the parade route to widely distribute condoms, females condoms and educational material during one of the most festive cultural events in the District.
Thanks to the 2 dozen volunteers who, collectively, help distribute thousands of condoms to Carnival attendees. If only one of those condoms helps prevent the transmission of HIV or encouraged someone to make condom use a standard personal predactice, then the effort was worth it.
